I absolutely love working as a tutor at TutorMe- it has been a financial life saver. I'm currently working on my master's degree and have a busy schedule. You work whenever there are lessons available (which is fairly often). The pay is extremely good, especially since you get to help other students. I definitely recommend working here!!

TutorMe.com has been fantastic to work for so far! I've worked for two other online tutoring platforms, and TutorMe combines my favorite aspects of both. It has a clean, intuitive classroom layout, offers options for text, audio, or video chatting, and gives you the option to either book lessons in advance or take them on a first-come-first-serve basis. The pay is $16 an hour--much less than what I'm able to charge independently, but still higher than competitor services, where you have to log hundreds of hours before they'll increase your hourly rate by a dollar or two. I'm not sure yet whether pay increases with experience, but payout is weekly, which is convenient. I also love that they provide a "heat map" of projected busy hours based on past weeks. Very helpful for planning when I should log on and when I might be better off devoting time to a different side gig.Some minor downsides:You have to be very quick on the draw to claim a lesson before other tutors. Popular times are very competitive, and it could take 5-10 attempts before you actually claim a lesson. Students can rate you below 5 stars without explanation, which is frustrating if you're like me and sit there analyzing why they took a star or two off your rating. I'm not sure if they're rating the tutor or the general experience (i.e. they were frustrated with the classroom layout, had tech issues etc.)These are small inconveniences, though. I love that I have the ability to log in whenever I have free time, so I can easily fit more students in the gaps between in-person clients.

If you want to successfully earn your degree, use a TutorMe tutor! I have significantly raised my GPA by having a tutor to guide me through every course. They will help you learn from understanding rather than memorization.

I have used TutorMe for two years. The tutors are lifesavers. I do most of my studying at night, and I always find an excellent tutor to help me.
